Official Opening for OrmPS

This is the day for our Official day at OrmPS

This is an exciting time for us, learning coaches and other guests and parents. We all did something different for our schedule because at 1 o'clock everyone will either go home or go to OrmiKids (after school care) first we were put into 4 lines, two girls lines at the front and two boys lines at the back. Te Pu is a song we practiced every morning, we needed it to be perfect because who would want to be embarrassed in front of everybody? This song represents the beginning of the world. We had some time to talk to LH1 and possibly LH2 and 4 too. First we had some activities in all of the habitats that are happening. The activities I did were building blocks, quizzes and sign language. My challenge for building blocks were trying to make the building stable and locked in its place because William (my friend) and I was trying to build a bridge to let the bike riders cross safely. My challenge for quizzes were trying to keep up with the questions because it was kind of fast for our team to keep up. My last challenge for sign language was remembering the signs because at the last part was doing signing whispers, just like the normal Chinese whispers you need to remember what the person is saying but instead you need to remember what the person signed. Now there is a lot activities, there was goop, dancing, drawings and lots more. Now it's time to talk or write about how the Opening ceremony went. The learning coaches were very proud because of how we sang Te Pu and how we walked silently and respectfully also we (most) all sat quietly. There was a famous person who came, William Pike! This was exciting because the year 6's noticed and remembered that William was from NYLD, he also has a secret frame that would be either important or would represent OrmPS as our trophy. William pike was a leader and he guided us through his adventure on how he experienced a volcanic eruption and how he survived it. He went through a lot of things on his adventure. Now the fun part, maybe because we go home at 1:00 pm! I will remember this important and fun experience.

Poem about Holidays

The sun may be up but the rain might come down

Sometimes the faces may be happy and sometimes with a frown.

There is so many fun things to do for fun

It's mabye endless there is a ton.

A lot of children having fun

All the work the teachers have hoped we have done.

I have ate ice cream with a cone

And when we went home my cousin would call me on the phone.

I was playing the piano while I was waiting ( for school to come )

it was a long time it was taking.

when it was raining it felt chilly

sometimes my little cousins can be kind of silly.

When it was nearly the school days I was preparing

trying to change my plans and the time I was sparing.

It was starting to get hot

And while I was playing a catching game I got caught.

I wrote this to try and talk in a poem but also aboout my holidays. Thank You and hope holidays are fun.

Holidays!

This is a time to relax and have more time with family, friends and more fun stuff.

It may be bored doing nothing but you can really book up for something fun and interesting. My plans for the holidays was not keep playing on technology stuff, I once went to the top of the skytower and when it was time for the holidays there is something special and different topics that children may like this topic was being a spy agent it was about lasers (fake) and running through to get clues to solve the mission. On the first week we had a busy week. On Monday my dad would go to work and whiles he is working we just do some shopping you know the normal stuff that family's do. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thusrdays and Fridays my mom would go to work and all the children in the family would go to grandpas house to supervise us then at around 4:30 we would go home. On Fridays at 4:30 I would go and do TaeKwonDo classes till 6:00. On the weekends we would just relax and go to places and explore and on Sunday my mom's uncle and untie was inviting us for a snack and a trip to western springs to feed the ducks and have fun on the playground. It was kind of creepy when gooses and ducks follow us and the cutest part was the ducklings! Last part of our adventure was going to the dentist and to go haircut. This was really fun and the truth is that I miss school and learning to increase our knowledge and to hang out with friends. That was my Holiday Adventure.
